Jake is a driven Engineer in Training with a passion for designing and managing successful projects. Originally, he had intended to pursue a career in medicine, but he soon discovered his true passion for engineering. In 2016, he completed his Bachelor of Science (Biology) degree at the University of the Fraser Valley before pursuing his interest in engineering.
Jake’s hard work and dedication paid off when he graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. During his studies, he worked as a student engineer during summers, which gave him valuable hands-on experience in the field.
In his time at Jarvis, Jake is acquiring significant knowledge and expertise to autonomously create and oversee projects, with the goal of obtaining Professional Engineer certification. He excels at BIM model management, writing Dynamo/Python scripts for Revit, performing power and lighting calculations, and general electrical design and drafting.
Jake has worked on a wide variety of projects in both design and construction administration, including schools, mixed-use commercial, residential, and affordable housing developments. He is known for his collaborative approach to working with Owners, Architects, and other discipline Engineers to deliver successful projects.
