Maintaining our focus on the delivery and quality of a project requires us to effectively coordinate with other consultants throughout the project’s development. Our approach is to provide drawings and documents that have detail and accuracy necessary to meet project requirements, client expectations, and to minimize confusion and problems during construction.
Services during construction including —field reviews, utility coordination, shop drawing reviews, progress claim reviews, processing of change orders, and responding to requests for information are approached by the project team with the same determination and attention provided to the design phase. Our Construction Administrators conduct field reviews to confirm general construction acceptability and conformance with drawings and specifications, ensure compliance with budgets, shop drawings, and schedules for final construction completion of electrical systems.
We approach all compliance, evaluation, and assessment requests with an awareness of the significant role these studies play in the decision-making process of clients. Our teams of engineers and technicians conduct meticulous document and onsite reviews as required, identifying any mandatory upgrades to existing electrical systems or overall project electrical risks. Technical reports are prepared to assess the existing building and to identify required upgrades. Information suitable for QS budgeting is then provided.
Feasibility studies may be requested to determine the viability of an idea, such as ensuring a project is legally and technically feasible as well as economically justifiable. We recognize the importance of a well-designed study and appreciate the trust placed in us when providing this service. Our team is able to provide the services necessary to compile a detailed study to help our clients assess whether a project is worth the investment—in some cases, a project may simply not be feasible.
As a “project management team”, the Board of Education of School District No.36 (Surrey) (“SD36”) has completed a number of new school and renovation projects in Surrey and highly recommends Jarvis for electrical engineering consulting services: including feasibility studies, BC Hydro incentive applications, engineering design services and construction review.
