Twenty-three new schools opening this September

23 new schools and additions are opening across B.C. this September — and Jarvis Engineering is proud to have played a part in bringing 19 of them to life!

Together, these projects will create learning spaces for 4,700 students, including six new schools, 14 additions and three seismic replacements across communities throughout the province.

In Burnaby, three schools are opening with 265 new seats and 415 seismically safer seats. This includes the new 415-seat Stride Avenue Community Elementary, classroom additions at Nelson and Brentwood Park Elementary, and a new gymnasium at Brentwood Park — the first phase of a larger expansion and seismic upgrade.

Work is also underway on major projects including the seismic replacement and expansion of Cameron Elementary, a new 12-classroom addition at École Alpha Secondary, and further additions and seismic upgrades at Brentwood Park Elementary.

We’re proud to be part of projects that make a lasting difference in our communities, and we’re excited to see these spaces come to life!
