Clayton Heights Secondary School in Surrey, BC is getting a major expansion: 1,000 new student seats — the biggest expansion in Surrey Schools’ history. The provincial government has committed $90.4 million for a four-storey, 41-classroom addition that will nearly double the school’s current capacity.
The new addition will feature a Neighbourhood Learning Centre (for child care and Indigenous learning), enhanced science and technology labs, a modern gymnasium, media rooms, a dance and active-living studio, rooms for students with diverse learning needs, as well as upgraded arts and foods spaces. These facilities will relieve overcrowding and meet the needs of a rapidly growing community.
We’re proud to be involved in this impactful project and excited to see the positive difference it will make for students, staff, and the Surrey community when it opens in Fall 2029.
